On May 7th, the Gladwin County Community Foundation asks you to "give where you live" by supporting our Give Local campaign. Give Local is a 24-hour giving day where community members can support the long-term sustainability of local nonprofits.

Your Gladwin County Community Foundation provides a way for community members to help build permanent community capital with donations as little as five dollars. Donations to the Gladwin County Community Foundation's Give Local campaign go directly to the Foundation's Community Investment Fund. The Community Investment Fund helps make our grantmaking possible. Organizations that benefited from our grantmaking in 2023 include Gladwin Community Arena, Beaverton Schools, Gladwin County Fair Association, Northern Michigan Mobile Child Advocacy Center, and more."

Gladwin County Community Foundation's Give Local campaign is part of Give Local Midland. Give Local Midland is a 24-hour giving event hosted by the Midland Area Community Foundation. It has been hosted annually for over ten years; this is the first year the Gladwin County Community Foundation has participated.

What is a Community Foundation?

The essence of a community foundation is many people putting their money together to address the diverse needs where they live. Gifts enable people to dream bigger, to see the countless possibilities. As money is endowed, the gifts grow forever, providing ongoing support to help the community prosper.

Community foundations reflect and support donors' wide array of interest and help them address all aspects of community need including arts and culture, economic development, education, environment, health, human services, and recreation.

Our Purpose: We exist to cultivate the power of giving within our community, support long-term transformation, and help ensure all residents thrive.
